Giggling with SMod

I was laughing like a little girl yesterday. I am a regular listener to SModcast, a podcast by Scott Mosier and Kevin Smith, the guys who made Clerks, Dogma, Chasing Amy, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, etc. They talk for an hour and say the weirdest and often funniest of things. They've done 95 podcasts now. Some brightspark decided to take the best of SModcast and turn it into a book, which is just a whole lot of transcriptions from their bizarre conversations. The book has been released, and Kevin and Scott have been receiving some bizarre questions from fans on Twitter, one being: "is there going to be an audio version of the book?"

An audio version. An audio version of a transcript based on an audio podcast that is free to download.

Kevin and Scott then did something genius, hence the giggling like a school girl. They took a copy of their book, and read out one of the better amusing segments (15 minutes worth) in order to give the listener a sample of the 'audio book'. But....they swapped roles. So Kevin was taking the role of Scott, Scott was taking the role of Kevin. It was fucking hysterical. It was better than the original recording and original story.

I think I now have to get this book. I didn't think that I would need to, since I've listened to all 95 podcasts, but the 'best of' might just be worth it.

In other news, I'm at uni right now. I was expecting to do an oral presentation on the perception of time in relation to existentialism. I had been prepared to do it two weeks ago, but the lecterer was sick and it got pushed back after the break. So I was very much prepared today. And then the weirdest of things happened: he asked who was giving a presentation and there were two of us. The girl went first, and then the guy completely forgot about me, powered through the rest of the lesson, and so it looks as though my presentation will be next week.
