Heart Stopper

Right, so my blog has been right-wing in that it is unprivatised, and I’m still working through the kinks. As a result there will be less bitching about people who may stumble onto my blog!

I have an interesting challenge for myself. It’ll be a heart stopper. Probably literally. I’m going to jam my fingers into the socket until I feel a tingle and develop superpowers. Kidding. Over Christmas I’m going to down between 4 and 8 red bulls as quickly as possible. I came upon this idea after doing sinking 1 of the fuckers and don’t feel any of the effects, and have decided that this would be a good use of my time. Also, the roommates are all heading back home (none are from Madrid) for the holidays, so it’ll just be me for a while unless I find more cheap flights. But at Christmas time, that seems about as probable as a long winded Red Dwarf analogy.

Confusion continues to astound us in our Italian cinema class. Last Tuesday we had a new lecturer who may have said that the old lecturer will not be returning to the class for reasons that were not properly understood by my brain. Yesterday we were surprised when the former lecturer returned and put on a movie (an American movie in Spanish, no less). We were then doubly surprised when she didn’t turn up today and was replaced again by the old new lecturer, so it may just be a Tuesday thing. But man, can she talk. It’s like she’s seen the Kevin Smith Q&A sessions where he manages to talk for 45 minutes about getting a new dog. She came in and said that we would watch the rest of the movie, and for unfathomable reasons she began a lecture which last 80 minutes. Since this was an 85 minute class and we started 5 minutes late, most of us waited patiently for the first half hour for the movie to begin, but it never happened. Power to Big Ears, but we were bored.

I think my internet connection was against Prop 8 in California. Since that bill passed my connection has been temperamental in ways that I can only imagine, as if it’s run off crying, saying "no, I will not let you scroll through imdb because I’m friggin depressed, buy a newspaper or something." I hope that bill gets overturned soon, because then my internet should be back up and running like normal.

Now you just need to fix your profile! And dude, a guy died of a heart attack for downing 5 Red Bulls. No seas un boludo de mierda and stick to water, coz if you do that and you cark it, I'm not going to your funeral!!!

Hey, I've got to admit, when I first read the thing about the red bulls, I didn't realize you were talking about a drink at first. I thought this was a running of the bulls in spain sort of thing. Are you planning ot run with the bulls at some point in your stay?

Yes, I shall be risking life and limb and camera in July, Pamploma. One of my roommates if from Pamploma and he's never run with the bulls, and said that it's full of dumb tourists.

Hrm, are you planning to be a dumb tourist then? I think I'd stick to hanging out one of the building windows with my camera.
