Please don't cry

Axl Rose & Friends have released an album known as Chinese Democracy. There are two passable songs on there: There Was a Time and Prostitute. The rest blow. They don’t just blow when you know that this is the guy who wrote (or partially wrote) such wonders as Don’t Cry, Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City et al, but they suck without all of that prior baggage. It’s a long way from G’n’R. It’s like Axl looked back at all of those weak songs on Use Your Illusion and thought “that’s the direction we’re going in,” and none of the songs are really catchy or memorable in any department (lyrically, vocally, musically, lead guitarically). Essentially, it’s an album full of filler songs.

According to Sabastian Bach there are 2 more Chinese Democracy albums in store for us. Hopefully it’s not too late for them to not suck.

Skip it.

I've never been a big fan of G&R
