After a week away in the Emerald Isle, I must say that it was a relaxing break. I stayed with my grandma who is a constant source of surprise, mostly in the similarities she has with my mum and the candid nature she reveals long lost secrets about my parents (hehehe). I hardly see my Irish relos. The last time was 5 years ago, and before then it was 2 years, so they have all come a remarkable way. I'm the eldest cousin, so it's great to suddenly find a couple in their 20's who are cool.
We didn't do much, but enjoyed the great weather. We didn't take any photos, but we did see Star Trek (Andrea and I) and it. was. AWESOME. Andrea hates movies. Hates them. She also hates sci-fi. She gets easily lost and confused with all of the nonsense that goes on with sci-fi and does not have the patience for it. But then she says that she would like to see Star Trek thanks to all of the good reviews it's had. And like I said: it was awesome. She loved it. The fact that she loved it was a major win for me, like hearing her whisper: "tonight, I'm going to do everything that you've always wanted me to do."
But the trip did end with a 3.45am wake up call and a 4.15 taxi, so now I'm wrecked.
