Bye bye Feb!

Something dawned on me last night that was a little disturbing: I might only have 3 more months left in Spain. At the most I have 3.5. It's troubling because time is running out and chances are high that I'll not return to Australia fluent in this fecking language.

I heard myself speaking Spanish while on a video camera. Ugh. There was no attempt at a Spanish accent there, and what's startling is that I remember back in apartment number 2 in Madrid, on my last night, there were a couple of us sitting around doing foreign accents. We all had a shot at Italian, French, German and Russian, and yet none of us could do Spanish. I still can't do Spanish. How is it that I've been here since July and still can't recognise the Spanish accent? Are there really not enough distinguishing features about it to latch onto?

I'm also still going through google trying to find the best way to learn another language, but I'm sure I already know what it is and how to do it, and they only cater for *beginning* to learn another language, not when you're almost fluent and still stuck.

(I'm aware that just two weeks ago I had a big boost in Spanish, but now I'm back to where I was before :))

So: tomorrow. March. Some say it's the first day of Spring, some wait until the 21st.
