So, I’ve been hit by another surprise. The first was that yesterday was a public holiday and I had only 4 slices of bread and some pasta to live off until the shops opened again today, and you can bet your asses that I’m now stocked up to survive well past armaggedon (providing that armaggedon happens in the next 12 hours, at which point I’ll be breaking into the stores and liberating all the coke I can lay my hands on).
Today’s surprise was that Camille is running off to England, not returning to uni, and is going to be a teacher of some sorts. By the sound of things she’s not even coming back for the last 3 weeks of lectures (+ exams). Considering that she was supposed to be here for a year on exchange this is all very sudden and unusual. But she’s French, so what can you do? It’s sad because she’s a lot of fun and is able to make at least one of my classes tolerable, plus we hang out for lunch on Monday’s and Tuesday’s, so a friend is leaving and I’ll be lonely, and may not even have a chance to actually say goodbye. Sniff. Although what is ‘goodbye’ in this day and age with the internet? Just today I befriended someone else on facebook who was a good friend back in school, and I’ve only seen her once or twice since graduating. So on the topic of farewells, could you imagine the last episode of MASH, with BJ refusing to say goodbye, even though he and Hawkeye will probably never see each other again, and then Hawkeye goes up in the helicopter and instead of seeing ‘goodbye’ written in big white rocks, he sees BJ’s facebook profile, blogspot blog, youtube account, skype and email address? I think technology may have killed our powerful goodbyes.
That being said, it was only three years ago when I had the last great goodbye, which was in Japan, and an adios to some good friends and a girl. Hard to believe that I didn’t have myspace, blogspot, never heard of facebook, youtube or skype. I doubt anything quite as revolutionary will happen in the next three years, but it’ll be interesting to see.
But at least my pains and isolation won’t last too long, since Magda has now landed in Europe and will be in Madrid in a couple of weeks. All I have to do is survive 6 more classes and somehow study for exams that I don’t care about, which isn’t easy to do, especially when I have 18 episodes of Freaks and Geeks waiting for me. Can you believe that was 10 years ago? And Seth Rogan is in it! I had such a crush on Lindsay when it came out. Actually, I know why it doesn’t feel like 10 years, because I caught it on foxtel, and we’ve only had that for a couple of years. So there, it may have only been 3 years ago. I’m talking to myself and rambling, aren’t I?
Anyway, Camille is leaving promptly, Krista has maybe a month more before she goes back to Dutchland, and when the last of my roommates return I’m going to have to give his heater back.
Incidentally, I was asked an unusual question recently which I will now put to you (since there are probably just four of your reading this, and all girls, it might make the comments a little one-sided). Here’s what I was asked, so reinterpret it for your own persuasion(s):
Would you prefer to have sex with a fat and ugly girl who was absolutely fantastic in the sack, or a slim and hot girl who was crap?
Personally, I think that it’d be more interesting to see those two girls go at it.
Or, a variation:
Would you prefer to have sex with a fat and ugly democrat or a republican?

One's politics probably have little to do with one's sexual abilities...
In answer to your question - have sex with the one who's good at it, and have the good-looking one strip for you instead.
