Now I'm seeing things

First of all, I’m not homesick. I remember dying for a steak and chips in Japan, and I missed the cats, but that was the height of my wanting to return to Australia. Incidentally, I saw the cats within ten minutes of being back, had a steak the next day, and wanted to leave the country just as quickly. But over the last week I’ve been seeing things out of the corner of my eyes, always down by the ground, and I keep expecting to see Smudge, our cat, wandering by. That she’s ten thousand kilometers away should have sunk in, but it’s only happened in the last week, and I finally figured out why. There is this sound somewhere in our house, probably caused by the wind pushing something creaky, but it is the same sound as the cat flap back in Oz. So naturally when I hear that, I think of the cat, and see something....not sure why I see something, but seen something I have. Anyway, here is a list of things I miss about Australia:

The cat.

In other weird news, if I haven’t already mentioned it this is what’s been happening in the house since the roommates left: 6 days a week Miriam’s boyfriend comes over, has lunch, usually watches TV, then goes into her room for a few hours and I don’t know what he does there. I find this weird because he doesn’t live here, it’s not his house, the people he’s seeing are not here, he has no reason to be here, and last night he came back and stayed the night. On one hand this is very annoying. On the other I hope that this means that there aren’t any double standards for when Andrea comes along, since she’ll be crashing here for 3 months.

Think maybe your lack of sleep is causing the hallucinations?

You know, I was having a conversation with a clown this morning about that very thing.

are you sure there isn´t anything else about Australia you miss? Think long and hard buddy.....
And I´ll take care of any double standard issues with this bloke...don´t worry!
And btw, you still have WAY too much time on your hands. I may be bumming, but at least I´m doing it on a beach!!!
